Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to drive performance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, distributors, and retail partners to maximize sales opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product launches, promotions, and campaigns.
- Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, monitoring performance and providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Drive initiatives to optimize distribution channels, improve product visibility, and enhance merchandising effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and trade regulations.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, fostering positive relationships and promoting our brand.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with at least 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry, specifically in the snacks space.
- Proven track record of success in driving sales growth and managing a sales team.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian market dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer behavior.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills, capable of translating market insights into actionable sales plans.
- Willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.
- Experience in setting up and managing sales teams is preferred.
