Job Summary

As the Vice President of People Operations, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing the overarching strategy for Vendease’ human resources functions across multiple cities and continents where Vendease is operational. The successful candidate will play an important role in anticipating and adapting to transformative changes which involves staying ahead of the curve in identifying and implementing strategies to support and facilitate ongoing growth. The role holder will also be responsible for fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values and objectives.

Job Details

In this role, you will: 

  • Develop and drive the overall HR strategy, ensuring it supports the organisation’s values while navigating and proactively engaging with the rapid growth trajectory of the organisation to ensure a cohesive and values-driven work environment.
  • Translate organisational strategies into actionable HR initiatives, ensuring coherence and effectiveness across all people-related functions.
  • Lead organisational design efforts to optimise structure and efficiency as well as developing workforce planning strategies to anticipate future talent demands.
  • Oversee the performance management process, ensuring clear expectations and goals are set and aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Design and implement leadership development programs to cultivate a pipeline of capable and highly effective leaders throughout the organisation.
  • Develop strategies to enhance employee retention through competitive compensation packages, career development opportunities, and a positive work environment.
  • Implement initiatives to build a positive organisational culture that values diversity, inclusion, and employee well-being to enhance  employee engagement, satisfaction, and morale across all levels of the organisation.
  • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks by implementing effective compliance measures and internal controls.
  • Lead change management initiatives to support organisational transformation and growth.
  • Assess and implement HR technologies to streamline processes, enhance HR analytics capabilities, and improve the overall employee experience.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and/or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, etc.)
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive HR experience serving in strategically focused roles, preferably in an international/global organisation with at least 5 years in a strategic HR leader role.
  • Track record of developing strong partnerships internally and externally and using influence (rather than direct authority) to make change
