Job Description
Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, including servers, kitchen staff, and hosts/hostesses.
  • Create schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff members.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability and minimize costs.
  • Monitor food and beverage costs, labour costs, and other expenses.
  • Analyze financial reports and take appropriate actions to achieve financial targets.
  • Control inventory levels and order supplies as needed.

Customer Service:

  • Ensure that guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized service.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by customers to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the overall dining experience and promote customer loyalty.

Menu Development and Quality Control:

  • Collaborate with the chef to develop and update menus based on customer preferences and market trends.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and excellence.
  • Conduct regular taste tests and quality inspections to uphold standards.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Coordinate special events, promotions, and advertising campaigns.
  • Utilize social media and other platforms to engage with customers and promote the restaurant’s brand.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in computer software (e.g., POS systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Food safety certification will be an added advantage.
