Responsibilities

  • The Regional Business Manager will be responsible for the general coordination of accounting and business administration operations for special projects assigned.
  • Develop relationships with relevant local authorities and local business contacts to
  • Facilitate and execute the setup of the Group as a legal and viable business entity in chosen locations within Africa.
  • Liaise with the Contract Dept. to ensure that all receivables due to the company are collected and invoiced accurately to clients as required.
  • Provide updates to the MD and advise lucrative business operations and book-keeping
  • Develop ideas to help promote and preserve the viability of assigned special projects.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with relevant contacts (e.g within key areas relevant to setting up and maintaining a business such as local legal professionals, Government contacts, clients, banks, vendors…and so forth).
  • Assist with the review, negotiation and reconciliation of bank charges and any other relevant inconsistencies which may arise during the lifespan of Special projects.
  • Collating, interpreting and reviewing administrative and accounting information on special projects for periodic reporting and evaluation of future trends with the Managing Director.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Managing Director.

Requirements

  • MBA, MSC in Accounting and Finance or membership of a related professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, CITN etc.
  • Experience: 5 – 10 years
  • Ability to work seamlessly across a diverse range of companies within and outside Africa
  • Ability to learn fast
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to develop lucrative working relationships
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent communication, Numerical and analytical skills
  • Advanced French and English speaking skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure
  • Advanced knowledge of micro soft office suite
  • Excellent knowledge of applicable accounting laws and other statutory requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP Business one accounting package.
