Job Summary
We are recruiting a highly skilled Procurement Officer with expertise in supply chain management to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oil and gas service operations, internal procurement validation, vendor management, inventory management, tender initiation and management, global and local sourcing, and procurement scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract negotiation.
- Coordinate import and export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade laws.
- Validate internal procurement requests and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers/vendors, negotiating contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms.
- Oversee inventory management, optimizing stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Initiate and manage tender processes, evaluating bids and selecting suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Source goods and services globally and locally, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain procurement schedules to support operational needs and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, with a focus on supply chain management.
- Proven experience in vendor, inventory, and tender management.
- Strong understanding of global and local sourcing practices and market trends.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems, with experience in asset tagging and monitoring.
- Proficient in the use of ARIBA and NIPEX platforms
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
