We are seeking to hire a Business Performance Manager for our client, one of Africa’s leading independent E & P players. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving and optimizing the operational and financial performance of the asset. The role will involve analyzing key performance indicators, tracking & reporting the status of the assets’ strategic goals, identifying areas for process improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. The role holder will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align business objectives, drive performance excellence, and support the achievement of strategic goals.

Requirements/Skills:

  • A professionally qualified Business Performance Manager with a University degree (BSc) in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or any related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Business Performance Manager professional of at least 7 years in the upstream oil & gas industry, with a focus on business performance analysis, strategic planning, or operations management
  • Proficient in data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and data visualization tools to extract insights and drive informed decision making.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, cost analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies with experience leading cross-functional projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to lead strategic planning processes, set SMART objectives, and develop actionable strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, analyze complex issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices pertaining to upstream oil & gas operations.
  • Understanding of risk management principles, risk assessment techniques, and the ability to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Experience in change management processes, organizational transformation, and driving cultural change to achieve operational excellence.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster collaboration across organizational boundaries
