JOB DESCRIPTION:
- This role involves acquiring new customers and overseeing a portfolio of existing accounts or merchants.
- Your key responsibilities include fostering solid relationships with clients, creating strategies for account management, and working with internal teams to provide solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
- Additionally, you will be tasked with identifying opportunities for upselling and expanding business within current accounts.
Key Relationships: Product Teams, FinOps Department, Customer Service, Finance Team, Legal Team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New merchants/customers acquisition.
- Increase wallet share within both existing and new merchants.
- Analyzing sales metrics to determine whether current sales strategies are effective.
- Conducting in-depth research on competitors’ products, pricing, and market success to gain insight into customer preferences and interests.
- Identifying and contacting potential clients to determine their needs and assess their interest in the company’s products or services.
- Develop strategies to increase market share by identifying new opportunities in existing markets or developing new markets.
- Developing and implementing a strategic plan to achieve specific goals such as increasing revenues or improving customer satisfaction.
- Negotiating contracts and managing relationships with vendors, suppliers, partners, and other external parties to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Providing leadership, training, and motivation to the sales team to help them meet their goals.
- Communicating regularly with senior management about the status of projects and issues that could impact performance.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Must have experience:
- At least 7 years of proven sales management experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the digital payments industry.
- Ability to deal with C-Level Executives.
Experience that will count in your favor:
- Certified Sales Professional (CSP) accreditation or any other sales accreditation is advantageous.
- Experience dealing with Mobile Network Operators and the Financial Sector i.e. Banks, Microfinance etc.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business management or administration, marketing, communications, or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications as well as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
