Procurement Officer needed at Redeemers Health Village

Description:

• Source and procure medical supplies, equipment, and services for the hospital in line with budget and organizational requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective purchasing.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring best terms for price, quality, and delivery.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure continuous improvement in sourcing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory frameworks governing procurement in the healthcare sector.
• Maintain accurate records of all purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with various hospital departments to determine their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Prepare procurement reports and maintain documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the health sector.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification will be an added advantage
• Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) will be an added advantage.
