  • You will also be involved in fact-checking, verifying sources, and collaborating with other writers to refine their work.  

Job description

  • The AWiMNews copy editor will be required to:  
  • Proofread AWiMNews content for errors and inconsistencies.  
  • Edit and polish existing content on AWiMNews to improve readability. 
  • Carry out research and verify the factual correctness of information, such as dates and statistics.  
  • Publish content on AWiMNews website. 
  • Document and update the AWiMNews style guide.?
  • The incumbent will be expected to fulfil other associated duties as required within the scope of the position. 

Key Requirements and Qualification?

  • Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 
  • A degree in English language, mass communication or a related discipline.?? 
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Office Word and Excel.? 
  • Communication skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.? 
  • Knowledge of women-related issues.?
