Scope

  • The Marketing Manager is a critical team member, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
  • The Marketing Manager will lead the design and implementation of our marketing strategy for all our various services.
  • S/he will coordinate all activities related to brand and communications which would involve collaborating with various departments.
  • The Marketing Manager will drive change management and innovation as required, to maintain brand integrity across all company marketing initiatives and communications, and manage a portfolio of products to ensure we are achieving set growth objectives.

Principal Responsibilities

The role will include, but will not be limited to the following areas:

Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the overall business objectives to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Distil these strategies into executable tasks, define objectives and key results and ensure accountability and fulfilment.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize strategies for maximum impact.

Brand Management:

  • Define and maintain the brand’s positioning, messaging, and identity across all marketing channels and touchpoints.
  • Oversee the development of brand assets, marketing collateral, and creative content that aligns with the brand and resonates with target audiences.
  • Implement brand campaigns, PR initiatives, events, and brand partnerships to enhance brand visibility and drive conversion across our services

Growth Marketing:

  • Develop and implement growth marketing strategies and tactics to drive user acquisition, conversion, and retention across various channels
  • Collaborate with the business development & sales team to develop integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives that support lead generation and sales pipeline growth.
  • Utilise data tracking and analytics to optimise marketing performance and ROI.

Team Management:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Set clear goals, expectations, and priorities for team members and provide ongoing feedback and support to help them achieve their objectives.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations and professional development planning to support team member growth and career advancement.

Job Competencies and Capabilities

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Economics, Business Administration or any related discipline from a reputable institution, or equivalent professional qualifications in Marketing or Communications
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a strategic partner to the COO on marketing and communication-related issues
  • Successful track record of brand and communication management, with evidence of consistent results
  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex or pioneering environment and facilitating change
  • 8 years of relevant working experience (Desired)
