Role Purpose

  • The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans to drive brand awareness and maximize sales of our pharmaceutical products.
  • The position will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales to ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successful marketing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic.
  • Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material)
  • Evaluate and optimize marketing and pricing strategies
  • Keep informed of marketing strategies and trends, analyze market trends and prepare forecasts
  • Coordinate marketing strategies with the sales, financial and production department
  • To maintain and improve product knowledge of the sales team and sales managers and to continually update knowledge on the product, competitors and therapeutic area
  • Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs and anticipating new marketing opportunities
  • Monitor competition (acquisitions, pricing changes and new products and features).
  • Responsible for overseeing market surveys/Research and sales trends reviews while effectively utilizing available market intelligence tools to identify purchase patterns, sales performance and market dynamics
  • Regular fieldwork with representatives, monitoring marketing plans (brand plans), identifying opportunities and gaining market intelligence
  • Oversee branding, advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Generate new business leads
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual reports to senior management
  • Brainstorm market penetration ideas with senior management
  • Promote our brands at conferences and major industry-related events.

Qualifications

  • B.Pharm or B.Sc. in Life Sciences or related courses; (MBA is an added advantage)
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in marketing roles within the pharmaceutical, manufacturing or healthcare industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies and campaigns
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory guidelines, market dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and market research to make informed decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and communicate complex concepts
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, as well as digital marketing platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
