Job Summary

The Head, Sales (Fleet) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day sales operations, including account management, team management, and sales management. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to drive sales growth and meet targets. This is a full-time on-site role in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence.
  • Identify emerging growth opportunities and define strategy for optimizing the opportunity.
  • Direct, oversee, and champion the activities and performance of the sales team across locations.
  • Coach all members of the team in different areas, identify knowledge gaps and development needs within the team and develop plans for closing the gaps.
  • Ensure the achievement of group synergy both within the team and across departmental.
  • Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships that address their needs.
  • Identify value adding services/process to customer, and exercise consultative problem-solving skills to create new or customized solutions for our customers.
  • Direct the Sales team in generating proposals that define a clear path to client satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Monitor changes in the industry and leverage them for business opportunities.
  • Provide input on sales incentive structure and key performance indicators to help monitor targets.
  • Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes. Provide input to the Content Development team based on customer and industry feedback.
  • Investigate factors impacting sales performance.
  • Design and implement effective sales reporting system.
  • Responsible for departmental Projects, Monthly Performance Report. Sales Reports and present reports to management.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years work experience as a Salesperson preferably in the Automotive industry.
  • The candidate must have worked in a leadership role for at least 5 years.
  • Leadership and Team management skills – ability to coach, train, mentor, lead, and motivate sales team.
  • Strategic sales planning, Strategic, Critical thinking, and Analytical skill.
  • Communication, Excellent presentation, design, delivery.
  • Strong Sales Management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • High attention to details.
  • Product knowledge.
