Job Purpose Statement
- This role is generally responsible for coordinating and overseeing activities of Investment Services’ Department including operation of the annuity-based loan scheme, management of the company’s investment in credits and management of funds held in trust.

Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
Financial
- Manage the company’s existing and additional investment in credits.
- Ensure achievement of 100% budgeted income through adequate revenue generation and expense minimization in line with budget.
- Generate new business ideas supported with executive summaries that are considered viable by a Leadway new product manager or panel.
Internal Business Processes
- Review, establish and document internal business processes that support the business effectively and efficiently.
- Technical and fundamental appraisal of credit requests, methodical analysis of financial statements, as well as logical recommendations for financing and investment decisions.
- Ensure engagement of due process and perfect approved documentation prior to consummation of each transaction.
- Timely submission of applicable reports to the client, regulator and other stakeholders.
Customer
- Supervision of the Customer Service team and cause the drive to action that will ensure an excellent client experience.
- Quick turnaround on all required counter-party engagements.
- Effective communication with internal and external clients.
- Adequate customer engagements resulting in recognition of service gaps to individual or/and customer groups
- Periodic survey and measurement of customer satisfaction.
Learning and growth
- Ensure consistent update on Industry knowledge and business competence for self and team members.
- Acquire and encourage team members on an on-going basis to acquire new skills that are relevant to company business or/and career advancement.
- Good understanding of Leadway Capital & Trusts products and services as well as an introductory knowledge of other Leadway company offerings.

- The role holder is accountable for all credit proposals made by the Investment Services Department
- The role holder is the first authorizer on all annuity-based loan requests
- The role holder has influence with managing stakeholders.
- The role is also responsible for leading his direct and indirect reports.
- The role is responsible for developing effective and efficient processes for each departmental operation.

- Daily follow-ups with prospects: To engage pending leads to ensure closure.

Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University (preferred; accounting or business related)
- Relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- Desired work experience:
- Minimum of (5-8) years working experience in an operational senior credit capacity.
- Exposure to treasury activities, asset and liability management
- Prior experience in operating and finance leases
