• We are seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our team and support our efforts in promoting women’s entrepreneurship across Africa.
• The ideal candidate will be passionate about gender equality, economic empowerment, and leveraging communications to drive positive change.
• This role involves a combination of project management, content creation, social media management, and proposal writing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists to amplify our message and increase visibility.
• Develop engaging content for various platforms including website, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
• Coordinate communication initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness.
• Assist in the development of grant proposals, funding applications, and project reports to secure financial support for our programs.
• Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and coherence in messaging and branding.
• Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in communications, public relations, or a similar role.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of the African business landscape and experience working with NGOs or development organizations is preferred.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms is a plus.
