Our client a fintech company in search of a trustworthy and highly competent Accountant to join our growing Finance team to drive all Accounting and Book-Keeping functions of the Company.
You will work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.
Working hours: 9am – 6pm
Salary: 300,000
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Publish financial statements on time
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
- Review, prepare and ensure timely payments by verifying documentation, requesting
- disbursements and determine relevant applicable taxes
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Prepare reports on financial health and liquidity by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends
- Recommend financial actions and strategies by analysing accounting options/information
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and security, and conduct database backups
- Comply with financial policies, internal controls and regulations
- Guides junior Finance Team Members, coordinating activities and answering questions
- Fulfil day to day finance and administrative duties of the Department
Skills & Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience working as a qualified Accountant
- A Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable educational institution (in Accounting, Finance or
- Business discipline is preferred)
- Experience in FinTech
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS
- Knowledge and advanced working experience of Excel
- Knowledge and working experience of Quickbooks or any relevant Accounting Software.
- Able to work effectively and productively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor, measure and report
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
- Confident with a strong sense of judgement
- Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a Team
