Job Summary

Through supervision, QHSE officer will ensure compliance to quality standards, specifications and requirements. The role will see to promoting continuous improvement as it pertains to quality and safety of product, ensures poilcies are implemented to manage health and safety risk within the workplace.

Job Description

  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits; monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
  • Ensure that Food Safety (HACCP) Plan, heating processing, risk assessments, and GMPs are implemented across all business units to required standards.
  • Quality auditing and verification: Manage the internal and external auditing programme, assessing the performance of the quality system, reporting its effectiveness to the management, and proposing actions for improvement.
  • Define and update the specific quality procedures, instructions, and tools in technical expertise.
  • Implement GMP, GHK and ensures internal and external failure cost are minimized by continually establishing conformance to standards.
  • Conduct routine store inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks Company-wide
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems by addressing risk and opportunities to improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies and federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules as may apply to store location.
  • Provide guidance to business units on sustainability programs, risks, and opportunities including ESG due diligence.
  • Support in driving through education, communication, training, and implementation of the ESG Policies. across the company in all operational areas, including its associated business activities, sub-contractors, and supply chains, where relevant.
  • Conducts safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualification:

  • A relevant Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second Class Upper Degree
