- I Am Change Humanitarian Organisation is excited to announce the upcoming Democracy Camp for Teens, aimed at fostering civic engagement, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of democratic principles among secondary school students.
- To ensure the success of this camp, we are seeking passionate and dedicated tutors and volunteers who are committed to empowering the next generation of civic leaders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Facilitate interactive sessions and discussions on topics related to democracy, civic rights and responsibilities, leadership, and community engagement.
- Deliver engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to the interests and learning levels of teens.
- Provide mentorship and support to participants, fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning environment. – Assist with evaluating participants’ progress and providing feedback.
- Support the logistical and administrative aspects of the camp, including registration, materials preparation, and event coordination.
- Help organize and supervise group activities, including community service projects and field trips.
- Provide general support to ensure the smooth running of the camp.
Qualifications
- A background in education, political science, law, community development, or a related field with 2 – 5 years work experience.
- Experience in teaching, training, or facilitation, particularly with teens or young adults.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for civic engagement and democratic education.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the camp.
- Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with teens and supporting their development.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Experience in event planning or youth programs is a plus.
- Ability to commit to the full duration of the camp.
