Treasury Manager needed at Deloitte

On behalf of our client, a leading Indigenous Oil & Gas company, we are recruiting for the role of Treasury Manager. The Treasury Manager oversees operational treasury management and ensures compliance with the organisation’s established policies and procedures. He/She manages the organisation’s foreign exchange exposures, loan portfolio, and related reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports of the organisation ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and timely reporting.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist to develop and implement treasury strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize cash management, liquidity, and working capital.
• Monitor and manage the organisation’s cash flow, ensuring efficient utilization of funds and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Establish and maintain relationships with financial institutions, negotiating banking services and managing banking relationships.
• Develop and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including regulatory organizations in the downstream sector, auditors, solicitors, and other relevant entities.
• Review funding needs, monthly reporting of all treasury activities to senior management
• Develop and implement strategies for raising capital, including debt and equity financing.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.Sc. degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline
• MBA or Master’s degree in a related discipline is an advantage
• Relevant professional certifications e.g. CFA, ICAN, ACCA or its equivalent
• Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience, 5 of which must have been in a senior role of an organization, interfacing with the Executive team and Financial Partners
• Knowledge of Financial management, accounting, analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of Accounting policies and processes
• Knowledge of ERP Accounting application
• Numerical and analytical skills
• Prior Experience in the Banking Sector is highly preferred
• Candidates should be based in South-South/South-East Region
