Job Description

  • The key purpose of this role is to re-establish focus on shop floor capability by supporting the proper implementation of the SKAP process and implementing an effective evaluation of training process to ensure plant benefits from the training investment financially and efficiently.

Key roles and responsibilities:

Training Administration

  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly meetings as per MCRS
  • Analyse meeting effectiveness and provide feedback (Where applicable)
  • Coach Front Line Managers on meeting effectiveness.
  • Participate in Line/Dept meetings to manage training bucket plan, compliance and support HOD
  • SKAP Support
  • VPO Support
  • Coach Level 1 and 2 on VPO (Process and Tools)
  • Deliver training to the shop floor
  • Facilitate VPO and operational training interventions for Level 1 team
  • Development of training interventions as required
  • Carry out on-boarding specific training as allocated e.g. CAP/SKAP process. On boarding remains the Line Manager’s responsibility and this should not be outsourced to the Training Controller.
  • Facilitate Fundamental training e.g. Fundamentals of Packaging/Brewing and other

Training Programs as Appropriate

  • Knowledge Management (GOPs, Eureka, MOC)
  • Plant and Departmental Steercom pack and consolidation
  • Participation in Pillar meetings
  • KPI / PI cascade to the shopfloor
  • Ensure SDCA compliance
  • Attend and support problem solving initiatives by identifying coaching opportunities and training gaps
  • Assist and support teams with the Strategy through the facilitation of the cascading of the L1 session of the Strat)
  • Develop agenda and schedule VPO training sessions for site
  • Liaise with suppliers for boards, signs etc. for OWS,ATO boards and visual workplace
  • Identify Training Needs (PDP, problem solving, meetings, etc.)
  • Facilitate the annual LNA process and monitor progress to training plans
  • Digital tool transformation and entrenchment

Profile:

  • BSc/HND or equivalent in a relevant Course
  • Experience in a packaging process environment
  • Minimum 2 years in FMCG environment
  • Team-player as well as an effective leader
  • Attention to detail, Computer literate
  • Analytical and systematic thinking ability, to enable effective problem solving
  • Sound communication skills(verbal, written, presentation)
  • Ability to manage people as well as ability to drive performance through the VPO tools
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of resilience and ability to operate in a high pressure environment
