Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Utilize your technical expertise to identify and diagnose hardware and software issues with POS machines, electronic devices, and peripherals through systematic troubleshooting procedures.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs, replacements, and upgrades on POS systems, electronic equipment, and components, including circuit boards, processors, displays, printers, scanners, and card readers, to restore functionality and optimize performance.
  • Technical Support: Provide remote or on-site technical support to clients experiencing technical difficulties with their POS systems and electronic devices, offering timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on POS machines and electronics to identify potential issues early, prevent system failures, and prolong the lifespan of equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs performed, parts replaced, and other relevant information using service management software or documentation systems. Generate reports on service activities, trends, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally and courteously with clients to understand their technical requirements, provide updates on repair progress, and offer guidance on equipment usage, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with company standards, industry regulations, and manufacturer specifications to deliver high-quality and reliable technical services to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent certification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing POS machines, electronic devices, and peripherals, preferably in a technical support or field service role.
  • Strong technical proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, soldering, component-level repair, and firmware/software diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with a variety of POS systems, electronic equipment brands, and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
