OBJECTIVE

To lead the establishment and implementation of My Technical Academy, aimed at providing comprehensive training to first-line leaders, coordinators, supervisors, technicians, and operators, aligning with the principles of continuous improvement methodologies. This role will involve developing, maintaining, and reviewing curricula to enhance the skills and capabilities of site associates. Additionally, responsible for initiating the First Line Leader (FLL) Programme within the Technical department and driving End-to-End Technical Excellence for Continuous Improvement across all functions, utilizing Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACTIVITIES

  • Implement and oversee the Daily Management System (DMS) within the production function, conducting regular health checks to identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead a team of subordinate leaders and operators to achieve factory goals outlined in the Compelling Business Need (CBN), Master Plan, and Annual Department Plan.
  • Conduct training on Incident Elimination (IE), Defects Handling (DH), and tasks related to machine cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (Clean, Lubricate Inspect & Tighten – CLIT).
  • Provide training to operators on the operation principles of individual machine components to enhance their defect detection skills.
  • Deliver training on basic technical knowledge required for Autonomous Maintenance tasks.
  • Support the Maintenance Lead in Progressive Maintenance (PM) processes, including Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MP&S) and Breakdown Elimination (BDE), to reduce losses associated with inspections and failures.
  • Assist the Maintenance Lead in optimizing stock levels, spare parts management, and coordination of maintenance activities with operators and technicians.
  • Conduct training for first-line leaders, coordinators, supervisors, technicians, and operators on Troubleshooting & Problem Solving techniques, including root cause analysis tools like 6W2H and Why-Why analysis.
  • Support functional leads in change management initiatives related to process improvements, reapplication, and Kaizen activities within factories and departments.
  • Ensure training programs adhere to industry standards, regulations, and certifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, monitor progress, and provide regular reports to management on the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Education/ Experience: B.Sc/HND (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering other relevant disciplines)
  • At least 5 years related experience with minimum of 2 years in leading factory teams
  • Adept experience with Factory Production, Production Machine Maintenance, Technical Department, Quality Department.
