DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the process of conducting, collection and preservation of evidence to support investigation actions.
  • Implement surveillance processes. 
  • Manage investigations requiring specialized tools, techniques, and resources.
  • Manage investigative interviews.
  • Provide coordination, assistance, and evidence such as documentation and testimony to support legal counsel in the prosecution of criminals and/or civil proceedings.
  • Coordinates security operations in Head Office & branches.
  • Develop & implement manning levels of security operations in H/O & branches.
  • Gather intelligence on trend of security threats.
  • Conduct periodic vulnerability assessment of H/O. & branches to ascertain threats levels.
  • Ensure measures are in place to protect branches from armed attacks. 
  • Resolve disputes arising from failed transactions in branches to avoid disruptions. 
  • Collate and render weekly returns on security sitreps and breaches in branches.
  • Develop and implement effective access control procedures for all Bank locations. 
  • Deploy armed escorts for cash movement and VIP protection.
  • Deploy armed security guards for branch operations.
  • Arrange armed transit security services for members of staff.
  • Conduct covert operations to detect & forestall security breaches. 
  • Interface with government security agencies. Such as the Police, EFCC, ICPC, SSS e.t.c. 
  • Assist in recovery of Banks assets from defaulters.
  • Educate members of staff on security management. 
  • Provide security coverage for Banks organized events.
  • Procure Police Reports for criminal incidents.
  • Procure Police Character certificate, DSS background checks for members of staff.
  • Coordinate the issuance of ID Cards to members of staff.

TASKS

  • Identify, develop, implement and manage investigative actions.
  • Provide support in the prosecution of criminal suspects.
  • Identify different types of Security breaches and take appropriate measures to counter or prevent occurrence.
  • Design and implement measures that will detect and prevent Security breaches.
  • Carry out all security administration functions.
  • Implement measures to protect staff & customers from criminal attacks.
  • Maintain good relationships with security agencies to support banking activities.
  • Enlighten members of staff on security/ safety.

SKILLS/ COMPETENCIES

  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment. 
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Committed and reliable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Security Risk Analysis/ Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience

  • Suitable candidate must have a minimum of 7 years postgraduate experience in a National (Military) or Industrial/Civil security organization. 
  • Must have held a leadership position in security services operations in a tier-one financial institution with over 100 branches or outlets for not less than 5 years.

Education   

  • Suitable candidates must have a minimum of either BA, BSc, LLB bL, with at least 2nd class lower division. Possession of professional security certification is an added advantage.
