Structural Design Engineer needed at SENCE Nigeria

Position Overview: 

• Our client is looking to hire a seasoned Structural Design Engineer with over 20 years of experience to conduct design quality checks, provide training to new engineers, and participate in occasional site visitations. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough design quality checks on structural engineering projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Review and evaluate structural designs, calculations, and specifications prepared by team members.
• Provide expert guidance and recommendations to enhance design accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform occasional site visitations to assess ongoing projects, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
• Train and mentor new engineers, sharing best practices and knowledge to enhance their technical skills and professional development.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in structural design and engineering.
• Proven track record of conducting design quality checks and site assessments.
• Experience in training or mentoring junior engineers is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
