• The most important thing to note is that this is a hands-on role in a growing company, it is not a role where you will only direct others to complete work. Steer73’s culture is that every level of the company, including the CEO, delivers “work product”.
• You will personally lead on developing service delivery processes, you’ll be involved in creating and delivering key reports to clients, you’ll work on reengineering existing services, you’ll be kept busy! It’s a very exciting role with significant growth potential, but you must be comfortable with the hands-on nature of our culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Ownership of Steer Cloud Services, which provides our hosting, support, security and other services
• Supporting the CPO in implementing our service delivery vision
• Management of the service delivery process for all digital transformation projects
• Development of internal reporting processes for projects and Steer Cloud Services
• Continuous improvement of client reporting and delivery processes for projects and Steer Cloud Services
• Coaching of the team in our service delivery processes
• Reporting to leadership team

Key skills

• Proven service delivery experience: you should be able to demonstrate where you have developed and managed complicated service delivery models and understand how to build a service delivery function.
• Experience in software development: The Service Delivery Director should have a deep understanding of the software development process, including the tools, methodologies, and technologies used.
• Analytical skills: The Service Delivery Director should be able to analyse data and use it to make informed decisions about all aspects of the service delivery process.
• Strong leadership skills: The Service Delivery Director should be able to guide a team of product managers, developers, designers, and other technical staff effectively.
• Excellent communication skills: The Service Delivery Director should be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing. They should be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, work directly with clients where needed, and manage issues within a team.
• Personal ability to execute: in the short to medium term you need to be able to personally deliver the requirements of the role and in the longer term create a new function and team in the business.

Other Important Skills

• Customer service skills: Although not your primary role, the Service Delivery Director should have a strong customer focus and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Project management skills: Although you won’t be personally responsible for project management, you should have a good understanding or project management principles and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of industry trends: The Service Delivery Director should be aware of the latest trends and developments in the software development industry. They should be able to advise clients on the latest technologies and best practices.
