The Role
- The learning & career development executive is responsible for managing the learning & development, performance management and career management Lifecyle ensuring development and delivery of initiatives that improve employee performance.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding/Induction:
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Ensure new hires get necessary job information from hiring manager (JD, OKRs etc)
- Have one month & 6 months check in with new hires.
- Ensure new hires go through the compliance training.
- Conduct stay interviews.
Employee Relations:
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters the Employee Experience Director
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Develop and share the People Operations Newsletter
- Carry out Business partnering with Heads of Departments
- Develop and deploy Employee Engagement initiatives.
Learning & Development:
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Conduct Training need analysis and post training assessment.
- Management of the Absorb LMS platform.
- Calendar and content development as well as training curriculum
- Develop Learn and Development strategies.
Performance Management:
- Ensure and assist employees to set smart goals & Quarterly OKRs
- Ensure probationary appraisals are conducted as and at when due
- Manage the PM Cycle
- Assist Team leads and departmental heads with Performance Improvement Plans when needed.
Career Management:
- Design and development of competency framework
- Career management across all levels
- Succession Planning
- Design and management of graduate training program
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance to all/any training.
- Review, development and driving of People Operation Policies
- Ensure remittance and compliance to the local training regulations (ITF)
- Any other duties assigned.
Educational qualification and key skills
- Minimum of a BSC/HND from a reputable institution
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human resources with strong skill set in Learning & Development & Performance Management
- Good communication, interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
