The Senior Maintenance Officer is to lead our maintenance team. As a Senior Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair activities within our facility. Your role will encompass technical expertise, leadership, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and adhering to Good GMP guidelines. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and reliability of our operations.

Responsibilities 

  • Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring effective communication, task delegation, and performance management.
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources efficiently to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced technical knowledge to diagnose complex equipment issues, develop innovative solutions, and oversee major repairs and installations.
  • Training and Development: Train, mentor, and develop maintenance staff, ensuring their skills are current and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Housekeeping and GMP: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in all maintenance areas, following established housekeeping protocols and GMP guidelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment performance, and inventory. Prepare accurate reports and documentation for management review.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, protocols, and best practices. Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency enhancements, and cost savings. Implement initiatives to enhance overall maintenance operations.
  • Responsible for the generation of KPIs and SOPs for equipment.
  • Responsible for  team shift  schedule compilation

The Person

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. Additional certifications in maintenance management or a relevant technical discipline are highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or GMP-regulated environment.
  • Advanced technical and mechanical expertise, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and mentor team members, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify issues, develop innovative solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Deep commitment to safety protocols, regulations, and best practices, with a focus on creating a safe working environment.
