Job Responsibilities

HR Policy Formulation

  • Develop and implement HR policies in line with the Group Policy Governance Framework and company objectives
  • Be the contact with regards all HR policies
  • Improve/update policies as required
  • Continuously review and update the SOP for the department as required

Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Manage recruitment and selection process by ensuring that candidates are properly screened in accordance with relevant laws of the land
  • Ensure a smooth candidate journey during onboarding
  • Implement the exit process in line with policies
  • Digitize the recruitment, selection and exit processes

Strategic Alignment of Employees

  • Use organizational direction tagree and plan staffing
  • Implement staffing plans tclose gaps
  • Ensure that all employees are assigned their relevant job descriptions tensure segregation of duties and ensure their alignment with the corporate goals
  • Develop HR plans and strategies tsupport the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
  • Provide People and HR reports tmanagement as may be required for decision making.

Employee Capability Development

  • Ensure the continuous upskilling of employees tmeet the organisational needs
  • Develop, get approval and implement the training plan
  • Implement other development areas such as coaching and mentoring
  • Ensure the implementation and adherence tthe training and educational assistance policies
  • Maintain relationship with training vendors tget the best value for the good of the Group
  • Develop and implement a succession and pipeline leadership policy and plan

Employee Engagement and Welfare

  • Provide avenues such as good workplace culture, competitive rewards and recognition tkeep employees engaged in order tmaintain high retention of productive employees
  • Develop, implement and review the compensation and benefits plans tensure that they are competitive and cost-effective
  • Conduct Employee Survey

Drive Culture

  • Develop and implement the culture framework
  • Lead departmental leadership & culture
  • Develop & implement a buddy framework

Discipline Management

  • Manage the disciplinary process of the organisation
  • Update disciplinary framework as required
  • Compliance with statutory remittances
  • Ensure strict compliance with all statutory remittances as required by law
  • Ensure highest confidentiality across all people matters are maintained within HR by exposing the team tthe professional responsibilities of the profess

Qualification

  • A BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university;
  • MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years of management HR experience
  • CIPM or CIPD or related HR qualification
