Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Admin Officer to oversee and manage the day-to-day administrative operations in our agricultural company. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in administration, coordination, and office management, with specific expertise in the agricultural sector. You will be responsible for managing administrative staff, ensuring effective communication across departments, and supporting the operational and human resource needs of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Oversight: Manage the day-to-day administrative functions including maintaining office systems, managing records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office.
  • Leadership and Coordination: Supervise and provide leadership to administrative staff, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficient office operations. Act as the liaison between the administrative team and other departments.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the company’s operational and administrative budgets. Ensure expenses are monitored and controlled in line with the budget.
  • Vendor and Resource Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring services are provided in line with contracts. Coordinate the procurement of office supplies, maintenance of office equipment, and any agricultural-specific equipment needs.
  • Payroll and HR Support: Assist in payroll processing, including timesheet reviews and salary disbursement in coordination with the HR department. Handle HR administrative duties such as leave management, employee records, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Coordination of Technicians and Maintenance: Oversee and coordinate the work of technicians and other maintenance personnel, ensuring timely repairs and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Construction and Facility Management: Supervise any ongoing construction projects related to farm operations, including facility upgrades and new builds. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements, especially those related to the agricultural industry, including health and safety standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Management, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within the agriculture or food distribution sector.
  • Proven experience working in an environment that requires technical coordination (e.g., managing technicians, machinery maintenance, etc.).
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with experience overseeing administrative and maintenance teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Prior experience in payroll management, employee relations, and HR administration.
  • Experience with facility management, especially in coordinating construction and maintenance work.
