The Research and Development Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting the organization in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities through tenders and grants. Grant and Tender Research:
- Conduct research to identify relevant funding opportunities, including grants, tenders, RFQ, ITT, RFP, EOI, RFI, and Studies.
- Monitor various sources for funding announcements and opportunities.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of potential funding sources and deadlines.
Donor and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop an understanding of the organization’s donor and stakeholder engagement framework.
- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with potential donors and stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and events to network and engage with donors and stakeholders.
Report and Concept Note Writing:
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality reports, concept notes, and project summaries for submission to donors and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that reports are accurate and meet the required guidelines.
- Identify potential partners and funding opportunities through research and networking.
- Develop strategies for lead generation, including utilizing online resources and social media platforms
- Collaborate with the proposal development team to contribute to the creation of compelling grant proposals.
- Assist in compiling necessary documents and information for proposal submissions.
- Contribute to the development of program concepts and designs.
- Assist in aligning program designs with the organization’s mission and the requirements of potential donors.
- Assist in identifying and establishing partnerships with other organizations and stakeholders.
- Work with the partnership team to maintain and nurture existing partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., international development, nonprofit management, business).
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
