Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Radiographer to join our team.
- As a Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare facility by operating imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images for medical interpretation.
- You will work closely with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging services.
- Undertake marketing activities to create awareness of the services delivered by the Center.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound.
- Support the medical team in the Angiographic suite.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety protocols are followed.
- Adjust imaging equipment settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure to patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review imaging results and provide additional imaging as necessary for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging procedures performed, patient histories, and other relevant information.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory guidelines related to radiation safety and patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in radiography techniques and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Radiography from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice as a Radiographer in Nigeria.
- Proven experience working as a Radiographer in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in operating various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, ultrasound machines.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.
