We are currently looking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented Procurement Manager with strong personal & professional integrity to join our dynamic workforce.

Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager will lead the procurement function by managing category spend, driving strategic and competitive sourcing initiatives, and ensuring ethical negotiation practices.

He/she is expected to;

  • Analyze and manage procurement expenditures across various categories to optimize costs and achieve budgetary goals.
  • Develop and implement category management strategies that align with organizational objectives and drive value creation.
  • Monitor and report on category performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Lead the development and execution of sourcing strategies that maximize value, quality, and service levels while minimizing risk.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, ensuring a competitive bidding process.
  • Oversee supplier selection, onboarding, and performance evaluation to ensure alignment with business needs and procurement standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring that all negotiations are conducted ethically and transparently.
  • Secure favorable terms and conditions that protect the organization’s interests while fostering long-term supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in all procurement negotiations and transactions.Finance Manager to ensure that cash flow requirements are met, and late fees are avoided.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years’ cognate experience, 2 of which must have been in a managerial position.
  • Exposure and insight into higher education and business schools.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and manage their priorities.
  • Pragmatic and able to exercise initiative and sound judgement.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, best practices, and market trends.
  • Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems.
