Eligibility Requirements

  • PhD in relevant Biomedical Sciences obtained in the last five (5) years at the time of application
  • Demonstrable experience through published articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Good writing and presentation skills.

Terms and Conditions

  • This is a two-year full-time position, renewable based on excellent performance including external grant(s) acquisition.
  • Candidates must complete the two-year term, failure to comply will attract penalty.
  • Positions will be awarded on a competitive peer-reviewed basis.
  • Successful candidates must abide by the Institute’s policies and codes of conduct.
  • The appointment does not come with accommodation.
  • Successful candidates are expected to submit quarterly and final reports.
  • They are also required to present their research findings at the Institute’s annual scientific conference and publish their work in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.

Remuneration

  • The position will attract an annual remuneration of five million Naira (N5,000,000)
  • Each proposed research will be funded to a maximum of fifty million Naira (N50,000,000) within the two-year period.
  • Successful candidates will have opportunity for exchange training program with international organisations.
