Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Initiation:
- Lead project initiation activities, including defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and stakeholders’ expectations.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, considering resource allocation and risk management strategies.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings and ensure alignment with stakeholders on project goals and expectations.
Project Execution and Monitoring:
- Direct and manage project execution according to the project plan, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and third-party resources to execute project tasks and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with project stakeholders, including sponsors, clients, team members, and senior management.
- Provide regular project status updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and key decisions.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns in a timely and proactive manner to ensure project alignment and buy-in.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure deliverables meet established quality criteria and client expectations.
- Conduct regular quality reviews, inspections, and audits to identify and address deviations from quality standards.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve project performance.
Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Identify project risks and uncertainties, assess their potential impact and likelihood, and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Monitor and track project risks throughout the project lifecycle, proactively addressing emerging risks and minimizing their impact on project outcomes.
- Document lessons learned and best practices to inform future project planning and risk management activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically in the IT industry.
- PMP certification from PMI is a must.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects from initiation to closure, meeting project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with the ability to adapt them to project-specific requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions to project challenges.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
