- Assess and evaluate students’ progress through regular testing, quizzes, and performance evaluations.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents/guardians.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ achievements and attendance.
Performance and Events:
- Organize and direct school concerts, recitals, and other musical events.
- Prepare students for participation in competitions, festivals, and community events.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan interdisciplinary projects and performances.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a positive and conducive learning environment.
- Implement classroom rules and procedures to ensure student safety and respect.
- Address and manage classroom behavior issues promptly and effectively.
Professional Development:
- Stay current with the latest developments in music education and pedagogy.
- Attend professional development workshops, conferences, and seminars.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in school meetings, committees, and events as required.
- Support extracurricular activities related to music and the arts.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or head of department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license in the respective state or country.
- Proven experience in teaching music at the primary, middle, or high school level.
- Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.
- Strong knowledge of music theory, history, and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching
