Mechanical Rigger needed at Dangote

Job Summary

As a Mechanical Rigger at Dangote Group, you will be responsible for the safe and effective handling of heavy machinery and equipment during maintenance and installation processes. Your expertise in rigging, lifting, and proper equipment usage is pivotal to supporting our operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct rigging activities including lifting and securing loads as per safety standards.
• Install, maintain, and repair all gas generator engines and their accessories.
• Participate in the fabrication and modification of machinery components as necessary.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper equipment handling and movement.
• Ensure adherence to company guidelines and safety protocols during all rigging operations.
• Execute tasks efficiently while adhering to NIS, ISO 14001-2015, ISO 9001-2015, and OHSMS 45001-2018 standards.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisory staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in rigging and plant maintenance.
• Possession of a Trade Test, OND, or equivalent qualification.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to rigging.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
