Logistics / Warehouse Officer needed at Ascentech Services Limited

Job description

• The warehousing officer will be responsible for all Logistics and warehousing operations and maintaining quality and integrity of stock in all warehouses.

Key responsibilities

• Produce daily, weekly and monthly stock update for Management decision making
• Develop and implement strategies for material storage and movement
• Coordinating drivers, vehicles, loading and shipping
• Develop, implement and monitor an efficient inventory management system at all warehouses, silos and stores under OGTL
• Ensure that the right quantities of stock items are readily available, raise alarm on depleting stock
• Conduct periodic spot checks on processes and stock at all warehouses/stores to ensure compliance to policies and processes.
• Responsible for optimum stock/inventory management and utilization of raw/packaging materials through effective production planning
• Identification of waste/bad and damaged materials
• Ensure that the weighbridge operations are efficiently and accurately carried out
• Implement safety procedures and standards in warehousing operations

Qualifications

• A Graduate Degree or its equivalent in Social, Pure, Applied or Management Sciences.
• A Minimum of 3 years experience in a related industry
• Working knowledge of Material Management module of an ERP
• Must have Logical reasoning and time management skills
• A member of Institute of Logistics Management (ILM).
