Job Summary
We are looking for an astute Logistic and Maintenance Officer to oversee the logistics operations and maintenance of the company.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other infrastructure components.
- Identify and rectify maintenance issues promptly. Diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain and service machinery and equipment within the organization, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
- Manage Inventory levels and reorder points for parts, supplies, and equipment
- Coordinate the transportation of goods and materials
- Develop and implement logistics plans and procedures.
- Track and monitor shipments.
- Resolve logistic problems
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
- perform routine maintenance tasks.
- diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Coordinate repairs with vendors
- Maintain records of Maintenance activities.
- Ensure that equipment is compliant with safety regulations.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations. Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities. Ensure proper storage and availability.
- Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs. Oversee their work to ensure quality and compliance
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition. Generate reports and update maintenance logs.
- Be available for on-call or emergency response situations to address urgent maintenance requirements.
- Monitor and control maintenance costs within the allocated budget. Provide cost estimates for repairs and improvements.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (Preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and/or maintenance.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- knowledge of maintenance principles and practice.
