Job Summary

We are looking for an astute Logistic and Maintenance Officer to oversee the logistics operations and maintenance of the company.

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other infrastructure components.
  • Identify and rectify maintenance issues promptly. Diagnose and resolve problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Maintain and service machinery and equipment within the organization, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Manage Inventory levels and reorder points for parts, supplies, and equipment
  • Coordinate the transportation of goods and materials
  • Develop and implement logistics plans and procedures.
  • Track and monitor shipments.
  • Resolve logistic problems
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
  • perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Coordinate repairs with vendors
  • Maintain records of Maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that equipment is compliant with safety regulations.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize unexpected breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards and regulations. Identify and address safety hazards promptly.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for maintenance activities. Ensure proper storage and availability.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs. Oversee their work to ensure quality and compliance
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment condition. Generate reports and update maintenance logs.
  • Be available for on-call or emergency response situations to address urgent maintenance requirements.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs within the allocated budget. Provide cost estimates for repairs and improvements.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (Preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics and/or maintenance.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • knowledge of maintenance principles and practice.
