Job Description

  • We are seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join our team as a Chef / Housekeeper. This position requires a unique blend of culinary expertise and housekeeping skills to ensure the smooth operation of our household. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities
Culinary Duties:

  • Plan and prepare daily meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Create diverse and nutritious menus while considering any dietary restrictions or allergies.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and place orders for groceries and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with household members to accommodate special events or gatherings.

Housekeeping Duties:

  • Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Laundry duties including washing, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.
  • Organize and maintain household spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
  • Manage household supplies and restock as necessary.
  • Handle special cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning, seasonal cleaning, and occasional maintenance.
  • Assist with occasional errands and tasks outside of the household as required.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Communicate effectively with household members to understand their preferences and requirements.
  • Collaborate with other staff members, such as nannies, drivers, or gardeners, to ensure seamless coordination of tasks.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding household matters.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a chef or cook, with a strong culinary background and knowledge of various cuisines most especially intercontinental meals
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate different dietary needs.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or similar rolesis preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
