Job description

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Land Surveyor to accurately measure land boundaries and provide data for engineering, construction, and mapmaking.
  • The role requires hands-on experience with engineering instruments and strong knowledge of GPS and GIS systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure land boundaries and provide data on shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions.
  • Prepare sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions, certifying and assuming liability for the work.
  • Conduct site surveys to establish baselines, elevations, and geodetic measurements.
  • Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations.
  • Establish legal property boundaries based on deeds and titles.
  • Record survey results including land shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions.
  • Calculate terrain characteristics such as heights, depths, and property lines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, architectural personnel, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Use theodolites, transits, levels, and GPS systems for determining longitudes and latitudes.
  • Research surveying methods and perform additional duties as assigned by the project manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional and service-oriented attitude.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Positive and team-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledgeable in mapping, land analysis, GPS, GIS technologies, and CAD software.
