Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Lab Analyst to perform laboratory tests and analyses within our FMCG factory. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products by conducting various tests and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Laboratory Testing:
- Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct microbiological, chemical, and physical analyses as required by company protocols and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and analyze samples using laboratory equipment and techniques such as spectroscopy, chromatography, and titration.
- Data Recording and Reporting:
- Accurately document test results and maintain detailed laboratory records.
- Compile and interpret test data, and report findings to the relevant departments.
- Ensure all laboratory data is recorded in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Quality Control:
- Monitor and maintain the quality of laboratory work by calibrating and validating laboratory equipment.
- Identify any deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions.
- Participate in internal and external quality control programs to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations in the laboratory.
- Ensure the laboratory is well-maintained, clean, and organized.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Research and Development:
- Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures.
- Support research and development projects by providing analytical support and expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing techniques and equipment.
- Proven work experience as a Lab Analyst or similar role.
- Solid understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in using laboratory software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record and analyze data.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve issues independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
