  • Develop, implement and validate procedures, controls and systems that prevent, detect and correct errors in inventory transactions and balances
  • Design and generate appropriate reporting to track inventory accuracy, shrink compliance, and variance root cause trends
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of internal and customer systems in order to provide extensive support to operational team as well as the customer for inventory and production related issues
  • Measure quality, inventory integrity, and accuracy while providing proactive feedback to the operations management team
  • Plan for and identify root causes of inventory deviation, via cause-and-effect analysis.
  • Apply continuous improvement initiatives to drive process, inventory accuracy, compliance, on-time completion, within budget, documented results.
  • Review and analyse customer complaints and process defect data, followed by development of corresponding action plans to reduce future incidents.
  • Ensure proper identification and repackaging of damaged product with regard to disposal or the return to inventory as damaged merchandise.
  • Develop labourur plans and equipment needs budget for review with site leadership.
  • Perform stock counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.
  • Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
  • Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity.
  • Lead others in safe work practices, especially when in a distribution centre environment
  • Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders.
  • Place and receive orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Notify the warehouse manager when defective products are discovered.
  • Ensure damaged products are not received into the warehouse.
  • Coordinate with customer service and logistics departments
  • Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed.
  • Perform process and system testing and track performance by area to locate and solve problems in data integrity, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Maintenance of finished product and / or raw material storage view
  • Management of Non performing Inventory (NPI)
  • Tracking and preparation of expiry reports
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills on inventory discrepancy.
  • Ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO on shipments
  • Train other employees in inventory management
  • Solving critical shipment / receiving issue
  • Raise system adjustment for finished product discrepancy.
  • Identify and report on frequent issues that create inventory discrepancies and suggest corrective actions to be implemented to avoid re occurrences of the problems.
  • Compile, maintain and analyse inventory reports.
  • Understands internal controls related to inventory management.
  • Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
  • WMS Expert User: perform goods receipt, shipment and reconciliation on company’s WMS
  • Warehouse zoning / mapping for finished products
  • Management of nonperforming inventory (NPI)
  • Handling of trade returns from customers
  • Shipment posting knowledge.
  • FP receiving knowledge.
  • Support of lead other warehouse management duties as may be assigned.
  • Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned
