Job Summary
- Emerald Zone is seeking a result-driven and innovative HR Manager to join the team of aleading organisation in Lagos.
- This role will focus on shaping the company’s culture, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring that HR initiatives are aligned with business goals.
- The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes.
- This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Execute and coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, from sourcing and screening to interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
- Oversee employee performance appraisal, perform evaluation and provide constructive feedback to facilitate professional growth.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records such as employment contracts, offer letters, and policy manuals.
- Develop and implement talent management strategies, policies, and programs that align with business objectives and support talent acquisition, retention, and development.
- Maintain positive relationships between employees and the company by handling employee complaints, mediating disputes, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Administer employeeÍs compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonus plans, employee benefits enrollment, HMO, retirement plans, annual leave, sick leave, and other time-off requests.
- Design and execute training and development programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the Society’s values
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the workplace, such as discrimination, harassment, and safety hazards.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant statutes.
- Prepare regular HR reports and presentations for management review.
Qualifications
- BachelorÍs Degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. MasterÍs degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
Skills:
- 5 – 6 years proven experience in HR roles, with a strong understanding of HR best practices, and labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively and tactfully with diverse teams and stakeholder.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong Understanding of Industry best practices in recruitment, talent management, and employee development.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
