Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the aviation industry, its regulations, and the unique needs of pilots and how to recruit, retain and manage them.
  • This role will focus on creating a supportive environment that fosters safety, well-being, and performance excellence among our pilots.
  • The role of the HRM will however cover all other categories of staff in a typical airlines operations company.   

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Pilot Recruitment and Selection: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and industry standards.
  • Licensing and Certification Management: Oversee the management of pilot licenses, certifications, and medical records, ensuring all pilots meet regulatory requirements
  • Training and Development: Collaborate with training teams to design and deliver programs that enhance pilot skills, knowledge, and safety awareness
  • Fatigue Risk Management: Implement and monitor fatigue management policies, ensuring pilots receive adequate rest and downtime
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Foster a strong safety culture, encouraging open reporting and proactive risk management.
  • Employee Well-being: Develop and implement programs supporting pilots’ physical and mental well-being, recognizing the unique demands of their role
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with aviation regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems, addressing pilot performance, and identifying areas for improvement
  • Communication and Support: Provide guidance, support, and communication to pilots, management, and other stakeholders on HR-related matters
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze HR data, providing insights to inform business decisions, improve pilot management, and enhance safety
  • Carry out any other assignments given by the Line Manager

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Aviation, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience in the aviation industry
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, industry standards, and pilot licensing requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
