Job Description:
As a Human resource Intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing exceptional HR support services. This internship will provide valuable insights into the operations of our HR processes and the opportunity to understand hospitality from a management perspective.
Duties:
- Learning and Development: – Engage in comprehensive training programs to gain a deep understanding of HR business partner responsibilities. – Participate in workshops and seminars to enhance knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices. – Collaborate with senior HR business partners to learn about strategic HR initiatives and organizational goals.
- Assist with job placements by reviewing job listings, coordinating with employers and job seekers, and ensuring timely updates on the job board.
- Seek advertisement placements on the job board by reaching out to potential advertisers, negotiating terms, and managing advertisement schedules.
- Engage with employers and recruiters to understand their hiring needs, provide assistance with job postings, and facilitate communication between parties.
- Maintain accurate records of job listings, advertisements, and communications with employers and recruiters.
- Demonstrate excellent follow-up skills to ensure timely responses and resolutions to inquiries and requests.
- Utilize strong writing and communication skills to craft compelling messages, job postings, and advertisement pitches.
- Employee Relations: – Assist in managing employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and addressing workplace concerns. – Learn to conduct investigations into HR-related issues with guidance from experienced team members. – Participate in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.
- Talent Acquisition: – Shadow and support the talent acquisition team in the recruitment and selection process. – Assist in creating job descriptions, screening resumes, and coordinating candidate interviews. – Learn to manage the onboarding process for new hires.
- HR Strategy and Planning: – Collaborate with senior HR business partners to understand and contribute to the development of HR strategies aligned with business objectives. – Participate in workforce planning activities, including analyzing HR metrics and trends. – Contribute ideas and insights to support the development of HR plans and initiatives.
- Policy Development and Compliance: – Assist in reviewing, updating, and developing HR policies and procedures. – Learn to ensure HR practices comply with relevant employment laws and regulations. – Participate in audits and assessments to maintain compliance within the organization. Skills: – Strong interpersonal and communication skills. – Analytical mindset with attention to detail. – Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving HR practices. – Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. – Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in HR business partnering. –
- Personality Traits: – Proactive and eager to contribute to team goals. – Open to feedback and continuous learning. – Collaborative and team-oriented.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. – Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
- Previous customer service experience or related internships is preferred but not required.
