Main Purpose:
- To provide professional support in coordinating the recruitment, development, and welfare of the company’s most important assets (its employees) in line with company policies, procedures and prevailing labour laws.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an effective relationship with ALL employees through focused quarterly site visits and provide subsequent feedback to management for consideration.
- Successfully handle recruitment from advertising to onboarding.
- Coordinate probation assessment meetings and ensure the recruitment register is updated as per the standard procedure.
- Effective management of labour matters, legal and labour union developments and provide advice on compliance and risk factors.
- Implement the disciplinary procedure in line with company policy and in conjunction with the Head HR & Administration.
- Organizing and overseeing annual appraisal meetings, collating accurate reports for review by the HR & Admin Coordinator.
- Ensure all leave and benefits administration are processed as required and submitted to the HR & Admin Coordinator for authorization
- Ensure complaints and grievances are skillfully handled in line with company policy and labour law to promote harmony, justice and employee improvement.
- Ensure all employee data are accurately recorded and constantly updated on Opticon ERP
- Ensure all HR requisitions and payments are processed accurately and on time via Opticon.
- Assist in ensuring company-wide strict compliance with health and safety rules.
- Supervise collation of attendance data and upload for monthly payroll processing.
- Accurately prepare the monthly pay information for the company & Outsourced employees including recurrent allowances e.g. overtime, weekly transport subsidy, inconvenience allowance etc. and forward to the HR & Admin Coordinator for authorization.
- Ensure the employee exiting procedure is properly implemented and relevant forms completed whenever a termination arises, before the commencement of the exit meeting.
- Ensure the quarterly assessment of external service providers is carried out
- Ensure all HR records are updated as and when due and bring any inconsistencies to the attention of the HR Manager in a timely manner.
Administrative Duties
- Ensuring adherence to the vehicle (fleet) and planned preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure that all fleet documents and insurance certificate are updated as at when due
- Timely processing of Total and Mobil for fueling of vehicles in the fleet and Diesel management for sites and residents
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
Knowledge, skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced computer skills (Microsoft office, recognized HR ERP software)
- Advanced knowledge of Nigerian labour law.
- Working knowledge of policy formulation & communication.
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate work experience in an HR role.
