Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
It include the following and other duties as may be assigned:
- Assist SENCE clients in developing proper business structures that will lay the foundation for growth and expansion of their businesses.
- Develop HR strategies, systems, policies and processes for clients.
- Assist the client in implementing the HR structures that have been established
- Provide advice to business owners on HR-related issues
- Maintain client’s staff records
- Develop performance management systems and assist clients in conducting performance assessments
- Assist with payroll administration for clients
- Provide HR administration services
- Produce weekly and monthly reports for management
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Administrative skills – Must be able to manage many details and challenging situations simultaneously.
- Numerical skills – Candidates must be good with numbers and complex formulas. Must be mathematically strong and have the ability to manage people and processes carefully.
- Communication skills – Must be able to communicate with everyone in the workplace, from line staff to executive managers. In addition, communication skills are very critical to interact effectively with outsourcing providers, public officials and employees, prospective employees and colleagues. He or She must know when to adapt their communication skills to the audience and the situation.
- Relationship Management skills – Must have the ability to establish credibility and trust as well as balance the obligation to be an advocate for both the organization and its employees.
- Critical Evaluation skills – Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment and engage in high-impact decision-making in a number of areas. The ability to analyze situations and view the implications of certain decisions from a critical perspective.
- Attention to detail skills – Must have strong attention to detail.
- Organizational skills – Must be able to juggle various responsibilities at once by creating a plan of action and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Technological skills: Must possess the ability to work effectively with various software.
Education and/or Experience
- A good degree from a reputable university.
- 2 – 3 years experience as an HR assistant or officer.
