  • As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests’ rooms are clean, comfortable, and presentable.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize assigned guest rooms, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and common areas, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Strip beds, change linens, and make beds in accordance with established hotel standards.
  • Replenish amenities such as toiletries, towels, and linens in guest rooms.
  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust surfaces to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
  • Empty trash and replace garbage bags in guest rooms and common areas.
  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or equipment malfunctions to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and inform the housekeeping supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, and other hotel textiles.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for both yourself and your guests.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and timely manner, providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and infection control procedures.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals, and the ability to safely handle and operate them.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Professional and courteous attitude towards guests and team members.
