Job Summary:
- The Head of Hostesses oversees the hostess team and is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences by managing the hostess station efficiently and coordinating seating arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise hostess team by providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations of the hostess station.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times, ensuring efficient use of dining space.
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and assist with seating arrangements as needed.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests, ensuring accurate and timely seating arrangements.
- Maintain communication with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate seating and manage guest expectations.
- Monitor dining areas to ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, seeking resolutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist in training hostesses on service standards, guest interactions, and reservation management procedures.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to enhance guest experiences and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to hostess team members to support their growth and development.
- Stay updated on restaurant policies, menus, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a fine dining restaurant or upscale establishment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of reservation management systems and basic computer skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Minimum HND or equivalent in Hospitality; additional education or certification in hospitality management is a plus.
