We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing health, safety, occupational, and environmental programs aimed at preventing workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental accidents. Your responsibilities will include inspecting workplace and environmental incidents, implementing corrective and preventative actions, and ensuring compliance with internal and external HSE requirements and standards.

This role is focused on applying technical and discipline-specific knowledge to achieve results, with opportunities for coaching and mentoring less experienced staff and overseeing the work of lower-level professionals. You will work independently within defined boundaries and guidelines, contributing your expertise to influence long-term tactical decisions within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental programs.
  • Inspect and investigate workplace and environmental incidents.
  • Implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external HSE standards.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced staff.
  • Manage day-to-day tasks and set priorities for team members.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Previous work experience or practical knowledge in a related field
  • Relevant educational qualification
  • Strong knowledge of practical methods, techniques, work procedures, and processes within HSE.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions within defined guidelines.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to influence others.
  • Experience in managing day-to-day tasks and setting priorities for team members.
