Role Description

This is a full-time role as the Head of Production at Ayoola Foods. The Head of Production will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations. This is an on-site role located in Lagos. The Head of Production will be involved in production planning, production management, operations management, team management, and budgeting.

The ideal candidate should hold a HND/B.Sc./M.Sc. degree preferably in Food Science and technology, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the FMCG industry. Having prior experience in the food industry, especially in working with flour products similar to the ones available in our product range, will be considered an added advantage.

Job Description

  • Ensure production staff comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.Ps), Good Hygiene Practices (G.H.Ps) and Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) at all times
  • Ensure that the processing and packaging areas comply with Good Housekeeping (G.H.K) standards before and after production
  • Ensuring timely availability of resources to achieve production targets by communicating daily production plans with the production and quality control teams
  • Ability to work efficiently to minimize waste
  • Working with the technical department to ensure the machines are maintained according to the scheduled maintenance plan
  • Liaising with the quality control department to ensure processing and packaging activities are carried out according to set standards
  • Developing operational systems that will comply with the standards of both National and International Food Regulatory Bodies. (SOPs, Health &Safety, HACCP Plan)
  • Ensure that the processing and packaging areas are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized weekly and the machines are cleaned before and after daily production
  • Daily documentation of quality parameters of all products during packaging operation
  • Providing daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports to be reviewed by senior management
  • Enforcing discipline and orderliness in the production halls at all times.
  • Any other function as may be assigned by the company necessary to the achievement of the company goals
